Terms of Use
The rules that govern your access to FinFilt's dashboard, Telegram bot, email digest, webhook, and API services.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of finfilt.com, the FinFilt dashboard, Telegram bot, email digest, webhook, and API services (together, the "Services"), operated by FinFilt ("FinFilt," "we," "us," or "our").
What FinFilt Is — and Is Not
FinFilt is a financial news aggregation and filtering tool. We scan publicly available and licensed news sources, apply automated (including AI-assisted) filtering, scoring, and classification based on criteria you configure, and deliver the filtered results to you.
FinFilt is not, and does not act as
- A broker-dealer, execution venue, or custodian
- An investment adviser, financial planner, or portfolio manager
- A provider of personalized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice
- A source of buy, sell, or hold recommendations
We are not registered with, and do not hold licenses from, the SEC, FINRA, FCA, BaFin, ESMA, or any equivalent financial regulator, because the Services do not require such registration. Nothing in the Services should be construed as changing this.
No Investment Advice — Read This Carefully
Applies specifically to AI-generated outputs
This section applies to Impact Scores, Sentiment Analysis, Directional Bias indicators, Confidence ratings, and any similar AI-generated classification ("Analysis Outputs") shown in the Services.
- Analysis Outputs are automated, algorithmic classifications of publicly available text. They reflect pattern-matching against historical data and are not predictions, forecasts, recommendations, or opinions about what any user should do.
- Labels such as "HIGH," "Bullish," or a numeric confidence score describe how our system classified a news item, not an assessment of your personal financial situation, risk tolerance, or investment objectives. FinFilt has no relationship with you that would make such an assessment appropriate, and none is intended.
- Analysis Outputs are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a licensed financial professional before delivery, unless we explicitly state otherwise for a specific feature.
- Markets are unpredictable, sentiment classification is imperfect, and historical correlation between a news event and price movement does not predict future results. Any published accuracy statistics describe historical model performance under specific test conditions and are not a guarantee of future performance.
- You are solely responsible for your own trading and investment decisions. Any decision to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise act based on information from the Services is made at your own risk. Consult a licensed, independent financial adviser before making investment decisions.
FinFilt disclaims any characterization of the Services as "advice" under applicable securities laws. If you require personalized investment advice, the Services are not a substitute for engaging a licensed professional.
Data Sources and Accuracy
- We aggregate content from third-party sources, which may include news wires, exchanges, regulatory filings (e.g., SEC EDGAR), social media platforms, and public channels.
- We do not independently verify the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of third-party source content before filtering and delivering it.
- Delivery latency (including any "under 60 seconds" or similar figures we advertise) is a target based on typical conditions, not a guaranteed service level, and may vary due to source availability, network conditions, or maintenance.
- Where content originates from licensed data providers (e.g., Reuters, Bloomberg), your use of that content through FinFilt is subject to that provider's redistribution restrictions. You may not scrape, republish, redistribute, or commercially exploit content delivered through the Services beyond your own personal or internal professional use, unless separately licensed to do so.
- We reserve the right to add, remove, or change data sources at any time without notice.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
- You represent that you are legally permitted to access financial news and trading-adjacent tools in your jurisdiction of residence. It is your responsibility to determine whether use of the Services complies with local law, including any restrictions on receiving financial information services from outside your jurisdiction.
- We may restrict access from certain jurisdictions at our discretion, including where required by sanctions or export control law.
Accounts, Waitlist, and Beta Status
- FinFilt is currently offered as a private beta, accessed via waitlist and invitation. Features, pricing, availability, and performance during beta may change materially before general availability, and the beta may include bugs, downtime, or incomplete features.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
Subscription, Pricing, and Billing
- Subscription pricing (currently advertised at $14.99/month for the initial paid tier) will be confirmed at the time of general availability launch and is subject to change with notice to existing subscribers before their next billing cycle.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as we expressly state in a separate refund policy.
- We may offer trial periods or waitlist-based early-access pricing; specific terms for such offers will be disclosed at signup and control over any conflicting general terms here.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or use automated means to extract data from the Services beyond what the API or webhook is designed to permit
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or provide access to the Services or filtered content to third parties without our written consent
- Use the Services to build a competing news filtering or signal product
- Attempt to interfere with, disable, or overburden the Services' infrastructure
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose, including market manipulation, insider trading, or coordinated disinformation campaigns
- Misrepresent Analysis Outputs as independently verified financial advice when redistributing any permitted excerpt
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
Intellectual Property
- The Services, including the filtering logic, scoring methodology, interface design, and FinFilt branding, are owned by FinFilt and protected by intellectual property law.
- Underlying third-party news content remains the property of its original publishers; we claim no ownership over it.
- Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your personal or internal professional trading use.
Third-Party Links and Integrations
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Telegram, webhook endpoints you configure, exchanges). We are not responsible for the content, security, or practices of third-party platforms, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that Analysis Outputs will be accurate or timely.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinFilt and its officers, employees, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, trading losses, or loss of data, arising from your use of or reliance on the Services, including any trading or investment decision made in connection with information received through the Services.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $99.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinFilt from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or any trading or investment decision you make.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time via account settings. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 02, 03, 07–13) will survive.
Changes to the Services and These Terms
We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. For material changes to these Terms, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email and/or in-app notice before the changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FinFilt regarding the Services.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
